There Be Dragons
"Every Saint has a past"
Trailer
"Set during the turmoil of the Spanish Civil War (1930's), Dragons tells the story of two childhood friends who became separated during the political conflict to find themselves on opposite sides as war erupts. One - Josemaria Escriva - chooses the path of peace and becomes a priest while the other chooses the life of a soldier driven by jealousy and revenge. Each will struggle to find the power of forgiveness over the forces that tore their lives and friendship apart."
It will show at the Rave Theater this weekend. Buy your tickets here.
One group of GenChrist members will be going with Fr. Chas tonight. Afterward, there will be a party at FMH - facebook.

GenChrist Notes
Dcn. Nate Harburg's Ordination
Bp. Joseph Cistone will ordain Dcn. Nate Harburg to the priesthood on Friday, May 20th, at 2:00 p.m. at the cathedral of the Diocese of Saginaw. Dcn. Nate is a friend of GenChrist who accompanied our most recent pilgrimage. On Saturday, May 21st, there will be a local open house celebrating this joyous occasion.
Pope Benedict's Prayer Intentions
Each month, Pope Benedict XVI announces his special prayer intentions--particular things that he wishes all Catholics to pray for that month. (When, for instance, we pray the rosary and say the prayers at the end for the intentions of the Holy Father, these are the intentions for which we're praying.) Pope Benedict offers two intentions every month, one general, and one for a particular Catholic missionary activity.
His general prayer intention for May 2011 is "that those who work in the media may always respect truth, solidarity and the dignity of each person."
Pope Benedict's mission intention is "that the Lord may grant the Church in China the capacity to persevere in fidelity to the Gospel and to grow in unity."
