Greetings GenChrist,
Merry (almost) Christmas! - Fr. Bill has returned from his sabbatical in Rome and celebrated this morning's Mass - give him a special greeting if you see him this weekend :)
Our Sunday evening Holy Hours are on break until January 8th, though some events will be going on through our celebration of the HolyDays (Christmas, St. Stephen, St. John, Holy Innocents, Epiphany etc.). Register today if you'd like the discount rate for January's chant workshop.

Epiphany TLM, Exorcisms & Blessings
Friday, January 6, 2012
Epiphany is a time of year when the Church makes a special effort to bless homes as well as items that will be used throughout the year such as a water, salt, oil, and chalk. Fr. Bill has graciously agreed to bless St. Catherine House and Fr. McGivney House on Friday evening, January 6th, as well as any of those household items that you bring.
We hope to commence with the sung Traditional Latin Mass for Epiphany at 6:00 p.m. (January 6th is always Epiphany, in the calendar of the Extraordinary Form), followed by the blessing of the items and then the houses at about 7:00 p.m.
Afterward the blessings, everyone is invited to join us for the FMH Christmas Party. We will have drinks and a celebratory spread - please feel free to bring any additional drink, appetizers or dessert.

GenChrist Notes
Pope Benedict's Christmas Talk
At the end of each year, Pope Benedict has made a practice of giving a 'year in review' talk together with his Christmas greetings to his fellow members of the Roman Curia. For example, in 2005, he famously used the Christmas address to introduce the contrasting ideas of a "hermeneutic of reform" and of a "hermeneutic of discontinuity and rapture." This year's talk focused on the challenge of living the faith and of his experiences in this year at places - World Youth Day; his trip to Benin - where that challenge was being joyfully met.
March for Life - SFL Trip
Among the trips going to this January's 39th annual March for Life, UofM Students for Life may be willing to have GenChrist members along for the journey.
--The current cost is around $160 (including $50 for the collegiate conference).
--Those GenChrist members who are interested should email Joe.
Tentative Schedule:
--Friday, January 20th: Leave on bus in the evening for D.C. Drive through the night and arrive early in the morning.
--Saturday, Jan. 21st: Free day in D.C.
--Sunday, Jan 22nd: Students for Life of America Conference, which begins with Mass and is open to all. The conference can be fantastic, especially in the area of pro-life apologetics. Or: another free day in D.C. (and would save the $50 registration fee).
--Monday, Jan 23rd: March for Life. As with last year, SFL'll probably try to get ahead of the bulk of the crowd so they can leave early enough to get back before people's classes start on Tuesday.
3-Part Natural Family Planning Course at St. Thomas
