Una Voce Mass, Dinner & Social

Tonight, at 6:00 p.m., the school chapel at St. Thomas will see its first Traditional Latin Mass since last decade's renovation projects: celebrated by Fr. Tom Wasilewski.

As the parish office closes at 4:00 p.m. on Fridays, you will need to arrive on time if you wish to make it into the parish office building for this Mass. Aim to arrive between 5:45 and 5:55 p.m., enter through the door you would enter for GenChrist, and then go upstairs.

Following the Mass will be the regular monthly social for Una Voce Ann Arbor / Ypsilanti, which will be in the southeast corner of the parish hall. There may be a St. Martin bonfire toward the end of the evening. A further description may be found on Facebook.

Anyone who is working to promote and advance the TLM and Catholic culture and identity within our county and diocese is welcome to attend.

Prayer Vigil for Lourdes Salazar: STOP her deportation

Tonight - 7:00 p.m. - St. Mary Student Parish

A member of our particular church and a parishioner of St. Mary Student Parish, Lourdes Salazar, is scheduled to be deported on December 27th. She and her husband have been living here for 14 years and she has three children, all born in the US. Her family has been a part of St. Mary community for several years. Those who attend tonight's Candlelight Vigil will pray to stop her deportation.

Join St. Mary Student Parish and many local organizations in supporting and encouraging Lourdes and many families like hers. If you are unable to attend the vigil but would like to help, please consider signing the petition.

Generation Christ / Chant Holy Hour

In lieu of our typical worship & praise music, our Holy Hour will be assisted by a schola of the men of GenChrist, singing various Marian antiphons and other seasonal chants.

In addition, the schola will introduce the version of the Tantum Ergo that we will be singing at our Holy Hours in Advent - it is entirely in Latin and according to the Mode I / Corpus Christi tune heard in this youtube video.
Sheet music will be provided, for you to follow or to sing along: the second page of the document found here.

March for Life - SFL Trip
Among the trips going to this January's 39th annual March for Life, UofM Students for Life may be willing to have GenChrist members along for the journey.
--The current cost is around $160 (including $50 for the collegiate conference).
--Those GenChrist members who are interested should email Joe this week.
--Initial payments will be needed by Monday, November 28.

Tentative Schedule:
--Friday, January 20th: Leave on bus in the evening for D.C. Drive through the night and arrive early in the morning.
--Saturday, Jan. 21st: Free day in D.C.
--Sunday, Jan 22nd: Students for Life of America Conference, which begins with Mass and is open to all. The conference can be fantastic, especially in the area of pro-life apologetics. Or: another free day in D.C. (and would save the $50 registration fee).
--Monday, Jan 23rd: March for Life. As with last year, SFL'll probably try to get ahead of the bulk of the crowd so they can leave early enough to get back before people's classes start on Tuesday.
